COFFEE, CURTAINS UP, AND A LOOK INSIDE SEASON 16
BEHIND THE SCENES · SEASON 16
We opened the doors on Saturday, August 29 for Coffee & Curtain Up—a morning centered on the artists, supporters, and behind-the-scenes work shaping the season ahead.
Artistic Director Jennifer Dean shared a look at casting and the season ahead, while members of the artistic team pulled back the curtain on parts of the process audiences don’t always get to see.
We offer special events like these to our VIP supporters, and with the deepest gratitude. You can explore giving options and benefits further at 4thwalltheatreco.com/donate .
THE ARTISTS BEHIND THE WORK
Among the morning’s featured artists were Deborah Hope, who offered a glimpse into intimacy work for the stage, and Lauren Davis, a props designer, who shared how the physical elements of a production comes together.
Looking further into Season 16, actor Raven Troup spoke about taking on the title role in MEDEA: RE-VERSED, our first-ever musical and a regional premiere. And audiences got an early taste of ARE THE BENNET GIRLS OK? when Skyler Sinclair and Christy Watkins performed a scene from the play. Both are familiar faces at 4th Wall: Skyler most recently appeared in OUR TOWN, while Christy directed and appeared in THE COUNTER.
Together, the presentations moved from casting to performance, intimacy direction to properties design—offering a glimpse at just how many different artists and disciplines come together to build a season.
