4th Wall Theatre Company is a non-profit, professional theatre company in Houston, TX with the Mission: "To develop and support theatrical artists by aiming to pay a living wage, in order to grow and sustain the community of professional theatrical artists in Houston, TX; and to develop and promote an aesthetic of acting that is truthful, by producing exciting, cutting-edge, live theatre."
4th Wall Theatre Company is looking to fill this part-time coordinator position starting in September, 2018.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Check and respond to incoming email in firstname.lastname@example.org and personal 4th Wall email.
Become contact person between 4th Wall and press throughout the city, meeting the needs of the company and the requests of the local press
Maintain existing press contact list
Send press releases, publicity material, photographs, etc. to press on a timely basis
Work with Marketing Contractors to coordinate and manage marketing and marketing strategies
Post on social media
Place ads in social media and publications
Help create and oversee mailers
Help with the creation and mailing of marketing emails and direct mail for specific shows and fundraising events
Coordinate with website administrator for web maintenance
Maintenance of database (Patron Manager)
Regular cleaning of records
"Qualifying" new contacts, ticket orders, and donations
Coordinate transportation for special guests
Be available for small errands especially as production openings approach
Pick up posters, postcards, concessions, etc.
Run and maintain box office (email and phone)
Process ticket orders for shows
Take phone orders
Process subscription date requests
Coordinate ushers – maintain email list
Oversee front of house during performance
Help plan and coordinate fundraising events and opening night parties
Prepare and mail donation acknowledgment letters and periodic thank you letters
Candidates should have an undergraduate college degree or equivalent work experience
Candidates should have at least one year of administrative work experience
Candidates should be comfortable working on Mac and PC, have a good knowledge of MS Word and Excel – knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus
Candidates should be aware that this position has the potential to grow into a full-time position
Candidates should have an interest, knowledge, and love of theatre
Pay starts at $15 per hour
20 hours per week is required
The bulk of this work will be performed at the 4th Wall Theatre Co. offices, 1824 Spring St., Studio 203, Houston, TX 77007 – some work may be performed outside the office, and some may be at our venue, located at 1824 Spring St., Studio 101, Houston, TX 77007
